A Very Special Delivery!

Hey there, Happy Tuesday to ya! You know, I have been thinking.... yes, dangerous I know. But I have decided to temporarily put Take-Off Tuesday on hold. There are a lot of things that I have been working on as far as crafting is concerned, and I am finding that TOT gets put to the back burner and then causes me a bit of stress. And you know I started this to release stress, not add it! Now don't worry I will still have a card every tuesday (and everyday for that matter), you will just find that it won't necessarily be a take-off of any kind. But if I feel so inclined to add one on any given tuesday, I will be sure to note it as such.

So without further ado, I bring you today's "non-take-off tuesday" card. It's based off of the challenge over at 365 Cards, which is to use plaid as your inspiration! Here she is:

The plaid lines are hand stamped using Pacific Point, New Leaf and Fresh Snow. I embossed the dashed lines with white powder. Here is a close-up:
These plaid lines were so fun to make. I paper pieced the onesie and used a new EK Success tab punch for the matted layer. I am hoping this card gets to go to our sister-in-law who just announced they are having their first baby in the fall. Of course if its a girl, I am sure I could figure something else out ; ) Congrats to them and Good Luck!!

That's all for today. See you tomorrow at 365 Cards. It's my official day! And don't you worry... the challenge is all that and a bag of chips! Also, prepare yourselves for our entire week of Cutting Cafe images starting Sunday. They are super fun and I think you will love them!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 3

Hello, Hello everyone! How is your Tuesday treatin' ya? Things are pretty normal around here, nothing crazy to report. But, I did want to get in Dawn's color challenge this week since I had to miss last weeks. It's a fun one, so check it out! Here are the wonderful colors:

I found some papers that matched it really well, and were actually stripes to boot, so I used 'em! Which means there wasn't a lot of stamping. Here is my take:

I seem to be making a lot of baby cards lately and using the same set (oooh, time to go shopping!). We just found out that my sister-in-law is actually prego right now with a baby girl, so I think that is why this card turned out the way it did.... Pretty sure baby girl will be getting one of these soon!
The striped paper is by Scenic Route. The polka dots are on the reverse side. And the other great stuff is Papertrey Ink.  Hope all is well where you are, thanks for checking in!

365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday #5

It's Sunday again and time for another GREAT sketch from Pam at 365 Cards. Here it is:
I was first blown away by the detail of this sketch... I didn't quite know how to tackle it, but here is what I did:
I started by picking a pattern paper and the rest just followed. It's double sided with the lines and then the circles on the flip side which I put under the ribbon, so its kind of hard to see. This paper is by Scenic Route and its fun to work with. I also pulled out the Bitty Baby Blessings set from Papertrey Ink.
Here is a close up of the dimension. I popped up the sentiment tag, and the sailboat. Added a button and some adhesive gems. They all seemed to be just the right color, which I was SO happy about. I love when different collections compliment each other. It just feels like paper magic. So thats all for today! Stop by 365 Cards to see the other DT members and their take on this sketch, and we hope you feel inspired to create you own. We would love to see what you come up with! Have a great and relaxing Sunday!
