My Favorite Colors

I had a lovely thing come for me in the mail today. The new Basic Grey Porcelain Aviary stamp set. Wow. I am in love....

I used the three bird cages in the set to stamp my background Kraft paper.  I used my favorite colors right now. Mustard, Brown & White. (they are even in my blog banner!) I find that these are everywhere in my wardrobe as well. Can you go wrong? Maybe, but I don't care.  And for those of you who are color sensitive, I will be sure to wear items that are a bit more springy when the snow actually melts. I don't think people allow you to wear mustard this time of year. Anyway. I enjoyed every moment of making this card. The crooked squares, that big brad, the kraft paper! Mmmm. Crafting heaven. And if you have a chance to get this new stamp set, I HIGHLY recommend it. 'Tis FAB!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Final Blog Look!

You may have noticed some changes around here in the last little while. I got this amazing blog design by Nancy McKinney over at Card Worthy.  She was absolutely FABULOUS to work with, and produced such a wonderful end product. SO wonderful that I couldn't wait until I had every element to start showing it on my blog! I am horrible at waiting for surprises (just ask me about Christmas of '02...)

Anyway. I have had the banner for a little bit, but I now have all the elements complete. What do you think?! I absolutely LOVE every part of it and want to thank Nancy for all her hard work and wonderful creativity. THANK YOU NANCY!! If you haven't already, jump on over to her blog and check out the other wonderful blog designs she has done. But not only that, she also creates her own wonderful cards AND is now a stamp designer for Taylored Expressions! How talented can one gal be?!?! I am so excited for her and all her new adventures. And if you are looking around for a blog designer, I am confident that Nancy can not only give you want you want, but do so with creative brilliance. So head on over to Card Worthy right now to say hi to Nancy and let her know what you think of her wonderful designing!

Take-Off Tuesday #17

How cute is this little girl? Very. But how cute is that outfit she is wearing?? SO cute! Welcome to this week's take off. I love the colors! Very fresh and summery and all of which I happen to have in my arsenal. (the pic is a bit yellow, but believe me when I say these colors are fab together!)

Here is my take:
I had to use the new Friend's 'Til The End set. I have been using it a lot lately as I am sure you have noticed, but I needed to use it again! All these colors go so well together. Aqua Mist, Melon Berry, Spring Moss, Gray. Lovely! I threw in some yellow for the fun of it. I colored the flower with some colored pencils. Its nice to feel like a kid again.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see my first Challenge at 365 Cards. Each member of the DT has a specific day of the week where they host a challenge. My day is Wednesday!! So head over to their blog to see what's going on. This week is an Ad Inspiration. You know how I love finding inspiration in other things, so come check it out!

Less IS More!

There is a challenge issued today at 365 Cards Blog. Check it out! Less is definitely more, so challenge yourself to use no more than two embellishments. My card has one!
I was recently at Michael's picking up some adhesive when I noticed they were having a 50% off sale on Cuttlebug accessories. So I browsed a bit and found this embossing folder for a whopping 3$... now honestly, did you expect me to walk by without purchasing it? Really??

I got home and within 5 minutes this baby was done. It has got to be the easiest card I have ever made. Send the paper through the Cuttlebug, rub over the embossing with some white ink, tie up the ribbon and you are done. Happy Freaking Fast Birthday Card.... Love it! And the great thing is you can switch the gender just by switching up the ribbon. How can you lose?

What can you make today in only 5 minutes??? Try it out, I'm sure you will be surprised! And be sure to check out 365 Cards for Gloria's creation today, it will help get your creative juices flowin'!

Thanks for stopping in.

365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday!!

Every Sunday you can meet at 365 Cards to participate in a sketch challenge and today is our first one!  They are such a great way to inspire creativity. Here is the sketch:
Here is my take:
I used the brightest colors I own. It actually reminds me of Jr. High since these were our school colors. (which I only just realized!) This is such a fun sketch, which means YOU should try it!!
I used PTI Around & About Sentiments to hand stamp the background paper. It was so easy to line up and a lot of fun to watch come together. It's a great set.

Also, jump over to see what all the other DT members have made at 365 Cards.   And be sure to take some time out today to make your own and leave a link so we can check it out! (you have until the end of the week, so try to squeeze it in!)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
