It's In The Bag: Challenge

As you may have noticed, I am completely obsessed with Papertrey Ink. Well, this next week is their 2 year anniversary and they are having loads of giveaways, challenges and fun sneak peeks until their release on Feb. 15th. Today they are having a challenge on their blog. Create, alter or decorate a bag and post it in their gallery or on your blog and be entered to win your own embroidered Papertrey tote AND a 100$ Gift Certificate! So of course I had to participate. Here is my entry:

I've had this little blue bag just sitting around for quite some time just waiting to be used. I pulled out my Quilters Sampler Addition set and Bitty Baby Blessing set for the sentiment.  I stamped the tissue paper with Polka Dot Basics to give it a little oomph....

Now a little tip on this stamping-tissue-paper thing. It takes a lot of time to line up polka dots over and over to stamp the entire sheet. So next time you want the look without a lot of work, just stamp a 4-5 inch border along the top. You get the effect from the outside and its still striking with only a border on the paper, not even looking like you were being lazy!

Here is a close up of my little quilt and boy. I love this set and really love the boldness of the white, red and blue. Hope you enjoy it! Take a chance to see the other entries and even make one yourself!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Baby

Todays card was helped out by a tutorial I found from Amy Rysavy at Prairie Paper and Ink. The tutorial was how to create your own windows. I made mine little squares. This card measure 5x5. Of of course using some sweet PTI stamps and Cosmo Cricket papers.

I Love You

I have been wanting to use hand stitching on a card for a while. You see it everywhere, and of course I was curious to try. I love it! It takes a while, but adds some nice detail.

This is all paper from the "Hello Sunshine" line by Cosmo Cricket. I cut the front right side a bit short and then filled in the space on the inside with some new Papertrey Ink black and white basics patterned paper.

I have enjoyed making a lot of heart cards this month. I think this could be used for more than just Valentine's.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take-Off Tuesday #14

This weeks Take-off makes me thirsty! Doesn't this page just make you feel fruity, fresh and fun?! I love it!

Here is what I made:
All the colors just blend so well. The thing I love about this card is the little paperclip. It is from an invitation of some sort I got at church. I kept it hoping I would find a use for it and I sure did! It's a treble clef which is why I added the sentiment "Just a little Note." The pun totally intended. I like this little number, and I am still thirsty.
Have a great week!

Ahoy Bird

Happy Monday!

Another image from Kim Hughes Ahoy Matey Set. I can tell I need to dig a little further down into the stamp storage to get something new. I do like this bird though. He is fun to color and these paper squares I got from Oriental Trading a century ago are finally being used! It's a funky animal print and me like!
See you next time.

Hello Friend

Oh how I wish I had some good lighting!! This nice blue card is all stamping. I used a few different sets for this one. One image from Kim Hughes' Natures Silhouettes (buy Cornish Heritage Farms). One image from Papertrey Ink's Green Thumb. One image from PTI's Around and About Sentiments and the sentiment image from PTI's Birds of a Feather.  A definite hodgepodge.

Thanks for visiting!
