Hey there ladies (and gents!.. if there are some ; ) I am SO sorry this has taken me so long to get posted. We had a wonderful time yesterday boating then when we got home we did some yard work and cleaned the house. Got the kids in bed, spent some time with my husb and by the time I knew it the night was gone. I can honestly say I fell asleep before my head hit the pillow. Then I slept in too late, so it was a rush to get to church which took up all the morning. We had people over for a late lunch so it was lot of cooking before hand. They have now left and my DH is cleaning the kitchen. I told him I HAD to go so I could post this for my peeps! So here I am... finally! Thanks for hanging in there with me! So this is today's sketch over at 365 Cards.
Here is my take on it:Ok. Rose asked me how to make these flowers. they are super easy. I used 2 different sized circle punches and punched out my velvet paper. (it is a little difficult with textured paper and will require some muscles). Then I wadded them up until they were nice and crinkly. Then I took my ink pad and rubbed it across the wrinkles. This makes them show up nice. I added a button for the flower center. If you want a step by step tutorial on how to do this, you can stop by Dawn's blog. It's where I got the idea from. (she uses actual flower punches instead of circles) I double stamped my base card stock with both Dark Chocolate and Vintage Cream using my Text Styled Background stamp.
And that's it! How is your sunday!? I hope to kick myself into gear a bit more this week and get ahead on my card making. We will see how that one goes. I'm excited for this week. Its a short one and we get to celebrate the wonderful crazy country in which we live. This is my favorite holiday! Have a great night.
love
