The Card Concept: #24 Tag
Hey Howdy, Hey! It's time for The Card Concept's new challenge which is snowmen! And, this week we are joining with Tracey McNeely for her 25 days of Christmas Tags. Which means, you have a snowman and a tag? What can be better than that?! Well, I'll tell you what's better, Tracy is having a giveaway! So be sure to check it out and leave some comment love on here and on her blog for your chance to win. There are some great companies giving things away! Let's get started.
Here is my tag:
I chose to use Carta Bella All Bundled Up paper pad and sticker sheet for my tag. Ok, in full disclosure, I wanted to work on my tag early in the month, but my snowman stamps hadn't come yet, so I traipsed across Singapore to my not-so-local scrapbook store and searched for anything I could find! And there was a lot of santa stuff, but not snowmen. Hmmmm, I wonder why!? I went to a second location and found this cute paper available and am SO glad I got it! It was just what I was looking for.
I also used a snowflake die cut from Simon Says Stamp and some snowflake wood veneers from Lawn Fawn. Ooh, I love them! I finished off my tag with my hoarded hand-dyed silk ribbon. (I'm almost out *sniff sniff*)
And there ya have it! This is going on Grandma's christmas package. Now I just need to know what is going IN that package. Sheesh! Christmas is coming waaaaay too fast!
Thanks for joining me today. Be sure to stop by The Card Concept to see what the design team has for you and for the next two weeks you can check in through FB page to continue the inspiration as you create your own tag-masterpiece!

The Card Concept: # 23
Hey there, and welcome! The end of the year is fast approaching and today's challenge over at The Card Concept is here to celebrate just that. Here it is for ya: Krafty Christmas.
And here is my card:
Now, I am going to be totally frank with you. I LOVE kraft card stock. I ADORE it. I want to marry it! However, since getting my groove on with things like ink blending, embossing paste and white on white designing, my kraft card stock has been sorely ignored. And believe you me, I have noticed, so I am sure it has too. Sorry Krafty! I was delighted for the challenge this week and got to crafting, pretty krafty quick.
I used the new Tinsel & Tags Make It Market Kit. at Papertrey Ink. And let me tell you, that set makes it pretty darn easy to create something stunning. I *love* product like that. It easy to use and gives you rock star results.
I enjoyed myself so much that I actually made two cards. I couldn't help it. Krafty begged me. Here is a little tut for the second card:
I started with some snowflakes (SimonSaysStamp.com) and organised them on my block. I masked off my card base in segments and stamped different designs in each section. It kind of gave it a nice Scandinavian Christmas Pattern. Nice and subtle with the white ink.
I got a little splotchy in places. This white ink doesn't do you any favours. It just wants to go EVERYWHERE. And I am way to impatient to wait for it to dry. So it is smear-city. To cover up the smudges I pulled out my Uniball Gel Pen (CutCardStock.com) and drew in some horizontal lines where I changed patterns and where I goobed up my paper.
I stamped and trimmed out the wreath from this Avery Elle stamp set that's been in my "to use" bin. It was happy to see ink for the first time. I think its such a lovely set! I added some hexagon enamel dots, the sentiment and this cute bow out of some Pow Glitter Paper from CutCardStock.com. I LOVE this paper. I have used it all up and have been hoarding the last scraps. The small bits are pretty pathetic until it comes in handy like on this card. I had *just* enough. SO glad I didn't throw it out! I used a die cut from Studio Calico. Love it.
And that's it! Second Krafty Christmas card done and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. That's a record for me, to be sure!
Have a great week everyone! Love to you and yours.
xoxo

Sweet Stamp Shop Pandas!
Hello there! Today I'm sharing with you some cards from the latest release over at Sweet Stamp Shop. This little guy was on the blog during the release and I kinda forgot to post it! So he's going first, just to say hello, and Happy Birthday. So lets get down to it. I ran my card base through one of my favourite embossing plates by Lifestyle Crafts. Those diagonal lines just get to me. I love it. ( You will see I used it on both of my cards for today.)
I picked some pattern paper to make my grass but originally the paper is green with white chevrons which was a little bright so I coloured over it with a green Copic marker. You just have to make things work for you, right? I adhered it onto my card at a slant. I stamped, coloured (Copics) and fussy cut my balloons and adhered them to the base before attaching my string. One tip: When you tie balloons, make a loop in your string and then slide it onto the bottom of your balloon. It makes for much faster tying. I covered my balloons with Glossy Accents. Seriously, how did I ever craft without this amazing stuff!? I was not living until I finally purchased that glorious bottle with the pink label. I adore it so. My sentiment is heat embossed onto vellum.
Next up is: Miss You Pho Sho! Featuring again my fav. embossing plate and my favourite banner die cut. I ate Pho noodles just the other day and smiled the whole time I battled with my chop sticks. I am horrible at them! How is it possible, living in Asia, you ask? I have no idea.... I'm just crap at it.
I punched a few circles out of some pattern paper and added some enamel dots (I love those things!), a sequin and some twine. Pretty simple really. And just like with all my pandas, I used Copics to add some grey to his fur and some pink for the cheeks, and then went over it with my Colorless Blender to mute it down a bit.
Ok.. that's all she wrote folks. I gotta go. BUT I love visiting here like this. We should do it again, and soon!
Thanks for taking the time out to say hello! You can find all the links for Sweet Stamp Shop here:

Sweet Stamp Shop Snuggle Pandas
Hello there! Today it's my turn to share a little Sweet Stamp Shop love with you all. I get to do this a few times a month, and I do love it!
Today I wanted to talk a bit about something out there in the design world called, "White on White"
Or at least that's what I call it ;) It's kind of a big thing right now, I feel like. So many paper crafters are using it and it is simply stunning. I wanted to try a bit of it myself. Just to see how it feels.
Here's what happened:
I die cut a ton of snowflakes from white and adhered them and some glitter to my card base. Its a simple thing. But kind of fun! If you are used to using a lot of coloured card stock it might feel a bit bare to you, but when you add some intricate white pieces over top it can do amazing things. You can see a ton of lovely inspiration HERE. Go ahead, hop over and scroll through. I'll wait.....
{time lapsing for you to get there and back, already!}
Lovely right!? I know, I know! It's so gorgeous its worth a try and who knows, you may just find yourself a new little something you like. I know I did!
These cute pandas are now released over at Sweet Stamp Shop. And they are stinkin' cute. I used some T1 Copic on their fur and some R22 on the cheeks. Once I coloured it I went over it with the Colorless Blender to fade the colour out a bit. I also added some Wink Of Stella to my heart in the background and fussy cut my sentiment.
That's all for today! I'll be back this weekend for the Paperwings Productions Blog Hop! So be sure to check that out tomorrow. And next week I will be back with some love at The Card Concept as well as another Sweet post, so there is a lot coming! Hope to see you again soon.
Until then, thanks for dropping in! I love to hear from you, so if you have a moment, feel free to say "howdy-do!" Have a great weekend!

Sweet Stamp Shop November Release!
Hey there Sweet-y Peeps! Today kicks off the official release for November at The Sweet Stamp Shop! Welcome Welcome!! Maybe you have come from their BLOG or maybe you're just stopping in? If so, you can click over and see all that the design team has in store for you after you take a look.
If you haven't already, you have to see these sweet pandas. They are really adorable!
I made a long shaker card with my pandas. I have these manilla tags that are just so fun to use. I inked mine up using some Distress Ink and then punched three squares using my 3/4" square punch.
I covered the windows with some acetate and then made a little frame of foam adhesive to hold in my sparkles! (I remember traveling to Washington D.C. when I was 7 years old and we visited the zoo. My first ever panda experience! I loved it so much I bought myself some postcards featuring the panda and I still have them! I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the animal (and the colours white and black ;) And now I have them in my stamp arsenal. These are bound to make anyone smile. So use them up!
Ok, next I have a scalloped circle card. I used the chopsticks to make a 'circle' in the background. And then coloured my little panda and his pho noodles and popped them up in front. Yo! Hands off the Chops!! (That cute face could never be mad at you....)
I coloured everything with Copics. With the cheeks I used the R20 and then ran over it with my colourless blender to help mellow it out a bit. I think it worked pretty well. I also used this same technique to add some grey highlights to the tummy and face.
Here is a little closeup of the opening of the card.
Cutie little face....Go on, admit that I am right.
Alright, that's it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to click HERE for a look at the entire November release. There are a lot of planner stamps also being released and I know how you guys love the planners! Lots of good sets in there. So be sure to stop by! Paper Wings Productions Nov. Challenge!
Hello there! Happy November!! Today is the first Paper Wings Productions post for the month! This month's challenge is Anything Goes!
I love this challenge. Sometimes is nice to just free-range-it in the craft room, am I right??
Well here is my challenge project for the month of Nov. Let's see if you can spot what I did:
One of my favourite things to do is repeat stamping. Sometimes it can just make one stamp look completely different. I found these big manila tags at my local art store. They were pretty cheap for a big bag so I scooped them up knowing I could (and should) use them for any number of projects. And sure enough, it only took 2 days until I found a use for them!
I chose the Sacred Geometry set and used this one circle stamp to cover my tag.

I then took 4 Copic markers and my Uniball white gel pen that I got from CutCardStock.com and coloured them up. You can see the steps here:
The white gel pen really added a nice dimension to it. Then it was just a matter of making these tags up to be gift ready. I think they are pretty general so you could use them for any occasion. I love the funky colours and design.
And that's it! Thanks for joining me today. Be sure to hop on over to Paper Wings Productions blog: The Aviary, for your chance to win some Paper Wings gift certificate love!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I love when you visit me. I have some news up my sleeve so be sure to check back tomorrow! There will be lots of fun things coming to enjoy!
Until next time...
