Pink Persimmon Halloween Treat Box

Today is the day everyone! I am busy putting on a Halloween party at church so I will not be around, but wanted to share with you a little something I made for giving out treats this year. Our first official year of trick or treating! (that's one of the perks of living in the 'burbs!)

This is my new 'holiday' box. There are so many things you can do with a box when you decorate it for an occasion. This is the first of many times I hope to use this box. I purchased it from Michael's and stained it a nice natural color. I used Pink Persimmon's Large Banner Set and Carnival Alphas set to spell out Trick Or Treat.  You might not be able to see the black glitter that I added to the letters to help them stand out and then I added some eyelets and a few Halloween die cuts to finish it off.

We are doing a trunk or treat for the kids today, so this baby will come in handy. I have already started working on what I can do with this box for both Thanksgiving and Christmas so I hope you will keep checking back. Be sure to check out Pink Persimmon's website for all their great stamps. A few of which have just been released!

Thanks for stopping by. I will see you tomorrow, Nov. 1! And I promise.... no more halloween cards!!!! ('til next year ; )

Halloween Tags

Holy Halloween Batman! I just keep finding these photos of stuff I have made this year and can't believe I made so much. What was I thinking???!  Maybe its because the stamps are just too darn cute?
Anyway. I figure as long as I have the photos already cropped and ready to go, I might as well post them. If you are OVER THE TOP with Halloween, you can just skip this post. Or the last 5 for that matter ; ) I will not have my feelings hurt. These tags ended up on some bags of caramel corn. I found this fabulous recipe online, (which I now can't find since I need to link to it!). I would have taken a photo of the bags (they turned out cute) but really, I want you to like me and keep coming back and any more Halloween photos would probably make you turn against me! (although I do have ONE more for trick or treating)

The cards you see have yet to be used, which makes me feel so lame. They will just sit until next year I guess? I should have sent them to my mother! Anyway, I know I keep saying I am going to bed, and I am... right. now.
see you-

Trick Or Treat: Witchy Legs!

YAY! Finally I have some internet access. It has been in and out for the last two days and I am so excited to be able to say HI to you all, finally!!! A little Trick Or Treat for you today:

And just in case you are up for a little blog hopping tonight, check out Design Mom today. A friend of mine is doing Halloween posts all week there and today there is a little photo of yours truly dressed up for Halloween (circa 2006). Its actually the same thing that we are going as this year, and what's funny is I have a 6 month baby bump again! This year's crayon costumes have come into play mostly because of time restraints. I just couldn't rally together anything that took time or extensive thought process. Anyway. My friend Kristy has some great Halloween costume tips and of course Gabby and her Design Mom blog just can't be beat so have fun browsing!

Oh, and don't forget to join in the blog candy post from yesterday. Leave me a comment and you can be a winner! Sorry I couldn't get my links up in time. The cable guy will hopefully take care of the problem tomorrow (although there seems to be no problem now... go figure!?)

Take care... will be back tomorrow.

Happy Halloween + Blog Candy!!!!

Another Halloween card. Yes I know... you are screaming 'uncle' already! But today's challenge at 365 Cards is to use 7 different kinds of ribbon. And I have these Halloween ribbons that need to be used up. Some are actually Martha Stewart self adhesive ribbons from 2 years ago, so really I had to use them!

I cut my circle with a die cut and then taped down my ribbons and trimmed around the circle. Added a stamped sentiment on the satin ribbon. The Brilliance ink worked brilliantly ; ) and then stamped up a bat and popped him up with dots. You can barely see them, but I did stamp some white stars above the gray ribbon.

So, today I wanted to continue 365 Cards fun blog hop and blog candy extravaganza.  All you need to do is make a comment on THIS blog post and I will pick a random winner to receive a little somethin' somethin' from me this week. I shared some random facts about myself on Sunday and would love to get to know you a bit more. You have until Halloween night! (Oct. 31)  at midnight PST to post your comment and I will draw a winner on Nov. 1st. Yay NOVEMBER!!!
I believe Gloria and Amy are also giving away blog candies AND of course you can win a Mac Mae Card Kit from Pam so get hoppin' and commenting!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Spooky Halloween

Hello! I had misplaced yesterdays post among the posts of last week, so if you didn't see it, scroll down to yesterday and it is now there.

Today's card is another halloween one. It's going to my neighbor who is 90 and made me dinner on Sunday! What an amazing woman she is! I packed this up with her dishes and some pumpkin dish towels I picked up from Target.

Isn't that apoxy pumpkin the cutest thing! I added the DO NOT ENTER sticker to a button and put on some adhesive gems. The rest is patterned paper. All from the October Mac Mae Card Kit.

Today it is rainy rainy rainy. Which is fine with me actually. It's nice to have  a forced down day, and I am taking it! Although still today we are going to play at a friends house, run some errands and hopefully pain the bathroom. Still lots to be done! I am constantly surprised that even though my kindergartener is gone ALL day, it goes by so fast! DH's back is slowly getting better. He actually walked to the train today, so that is an improvement.  Can't wait till he is back to normal, if that ever happens....

Hope you have  a great day today wherever you are!!

Happy Haunting

Good morning!! What a fun blog hop we had yesterday. I can't believe how many of you cut off your own dolls hair (or at least know someone that did). Mischief must be in the air! Also, I just wanted you to know I finished off a package of Butterfinger this week. (for those of you who don't know what it is, you can click on the link) AND we had Papa John's!! Looks like that post affected me a lot! So glad you all came by and I hope you will keep checking with us this week. I know there are some blog candies to go around (and if you come back here on wed. I promise, you won't be disappointed ; )

Ok. Also, I totally apologize to those of you who don't celebrate (or don't like) Halloween. That is all I have to post this week, but please know that I am aware of your circumstance and it will be over soon. As of Nov. 1 we have only harvest-y and fun cards to show. Plus some projects, so keep coming back even if you see another pesky Halloween card.

But for now, here is my monday contribution:

I covered the spider die cut with lots of glitter and popped him up for a spooky presentation. The sentiment is a sticker and the rest is patterned paper. All from the October Mac Mae Card Kit.

I really have to run today. Its been a difficult weekend. My husband pulled his back out (again!) and really cannot move. I have never seen him in so much pain and its been quite a struggle to keep things moving this weekend. Of course his sense of responsibility is getting the best of him and he is going into work today. But that means I have to drive him. No walking allowed. He is feeling a bit better and I want to keep him on the mend so I must run now.

Thanks for visiting this weekend. Good luck with the blog candy contests! Keep coming back and have a wonderful day!

365 Cards: Sketchy Sunday + BLOG HOP!!!

Hey there people! Today is a fabulous Sunday all set up with one great sketch from Pam and a super fun 365 Card blog hop! So lets get started!

Here is today's sketch:
I was really excited about this one because I have the perfect triangle stamp from Pink Persimmon. Here is my take on today's sketch:
Happy Halloween!!! I paired up some Papertrey Ink paper/stamps and Pink Persimmon. I feel like I have been using this paper a lot, but you know how that goes....

Today's Blog Hop is a fun one because I get to list 7 random facts about myself and then I will send you onto the next blog. Are you ready????

1. When I was young (but still old enough to know better) I cut the hair off ALL of my Barbies (about 10) and stuffed the hair behind my toy chest to hide the deed from my mother.

2. I play the guitar and sing in my *spare* time.

3. My favorite fast food is Papa John's Pizza. (Although it's not THAT fast)

4. I graduated with a BFA in Acting and Directing.

5. I have been in a Casino commercial.   ; )

6. My favorite candy is Butterfinger.

7. I come from a family of 7 kids!!

That's it folks. Pretty random, but fun! I would love to get to know you better too. So be sure to leave me a comment here and you will be entered to win one of two Mac Mae Card Kits from Pam!!! So be sure to leave a comment and now hop on over to visit SOPHIE!!!

Thanks for visiting!

Purple Happy Birthday

Today is quick and easy. Lots of fun purple lovin' from a Mac Mae Kit. The flowers, gems and ribbon all came from the kit. The florish stamp, birthday stamp and tag are all from my stash.
This card stock is nice and textured, which I totally love. Makes stamping fun!

What are you up to this glorious friday? Oy! How excited am I that its actually a weekend?? This week went fast but also each day was somewhat treacherous. Lots of potty training accidents, laundry lifting and prego back aches. I guess its that extra 12 lbs. I stacked on ; )
So this weekend I promise to winterize my yard, collect all needed accoutrements to assemble some Halloween costumes and also complete a few Thanksgiving projects. I tell ya, one holiday does NOT stop for the next. It is GO GO GO!!! Just wait till you see them though. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised. So I will probably not be popping in tomorrow, but be sure to check back on Sunday for my 365 Cards Sketch card and have a great weekend!

Loves to you!

Hocus Pocus

Hey there. Happy Evening to you. Kids are finally in bed and this day is finally coming to a close. So I present a little Halloween treat for you:

This is a tag I made using this months Mac Mae Card Kit. It comes with this black tag, the stickers, the twine and gems. Also, see those cute little witches legs???? Yup... that stamp came in it too... just because. That's one of the things I love about Pam's kits. There is always a great little thing in there that she sends just because she is a swell gal. So I stamped those little legs on some tissue paper to finish out my gift bag. This is going to be filled with some special spooky treats for a family we will be spending our Hallows Eve with.
Here is a little close up of the tag. You can see the glitter on the cauldron (which I love) and the popped up sentiment.

Thats all for tonight. Just a little over a week 'til the big day! Lots of Halloween fun to be had. And OH, I still need to dig up some costumes for the 4 of us. Any ideas?? I'm stumped too ; 0
Hope you all are well and that you sleep well too! Nighty Night!

365 Cards: Wacky Color Wednesday

I feel really lucky that I get to do Wacky Color Wednesdays. I have had a few now and they are always fun and challenging. Here is today's 365 Cards Wacky Color combo; RED, PURPLE, BROWN. Very Wacky!

Here is my card:

I chose a scarlet red to keep the overall card more subdued. I felt these were good fall colors and now realize I have a scarf with these in it! I guess that means they go well together. I love looking at these cards after I have made them because I always have something else I wish I would have added. I am now having an AHA! moment and realize I should have used some gold. That would really set this up nicely. I need to get me some of that gold ink, gold leafing and anything else gold I can find!

I can't believe how fast the weeks are flying by. The Halloween party that I am in charge of is coming quickly, as are a few crafting projects I want to get done, plus a little music concert-y thing I committed myself to and I am definitely feeling the crunch. Must get going and organize myself for the day.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great one!

Mac Mae October Card Kit--Count My Blessings

Ok, so you know how I said I was going out yesterday? Well, I ended up not doing that at all. It's funny how life just takes you on these little paths depending on your choices. Well, nothing major happened. I just had a rough night and was way too tired to go schlepping to the city with a kid for the day. So baby and I did some much needed laundry and grocery shopping and came home to nap. The only problem with that is then I lost valuable crafting/working time and now I feel even more behind! Hence today's card being posted at 10pm.

Here is another card from the October Mac Mae Card Kit:

This is another one Pam has on her blog. I wanted to wait until I got the ok from her to show you the rest of them. The papers and gems are from the kit, except for the large one in the middle and the sentiment which are both from my stash.

Finally got my flu shot today but the kids are still without theirs. Guess I am a little late in the game and have to wait for the next batch to come in. I have been calling all over town(s) to find some and now have an appt. for them in Nov. Hope they don't get sick before then! I am feeling fine, but I do have a chest cold of some sort and today I found out that I have gained 12 lbs in the last month! WHOA! I new things were a little out of control (this happened with the other 2) but seriously... that is way too much. The dr. was alarmed, and then we had a good laugh ; )

Anyway, enough about that. Be sure to check back tomorrow for my 365 Cards Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful for You

I am out today on the town with some fri-ends... maybe have some fries... to make my 'end' bigger! HA! Here is a little card I made up using the October Mac Mae Card Kit.

I actually added the stamps from my stash, but the papers and adhesive gems are from the kit. I was super happy with how this turned out considering I didn't have a starting idea.

Its a new week my friends and life's possibilities are endless! Hope your monday treats you well!

365 Cards: Sketchy Sunday!!

Oh me, oh MY! This sketch threw me for quite a big loop. And still, I think maybe I took a little too much artistic license, but you can see for yourself...
Today's Sketch at 365 Cards:

My take on today's sketch at 365 Cards:
I used some Pink Persimmon stamps that of course are ADORABLE! You can check them out HERE.  I realized with this card that even when you think you are cutting things straight, they are indeed, less than straight! How does that work anyway??

As you can see, not much too it. Only one layer for everything. I popped up my sentiment card for a bit of dimension, but it's not a lot. Added some Diamond Stickles to my flowers. And of course button and twine (which is now gone!) I must re-order double this time.

All in all a peaceful and quiet Sunday. Patrick is home again home again, jiggidy jig jig and we are spending today as family. Maybe a nap, maybe a book. You know, the possibilities are endless, but I do plan on having a moment of quiet to myself.

Hope your Sunday is blessed!

Cookin' Up Creations: Think Pink!

In honor of Breast Cancer awareness this month (Oct.) Cookin' Up Creations is having a Think Pink Contest! The challenge is to create a card using Pink as the main color and it must be for a female friend or about a female friend. The winner will receive a Pink Persimmon Gift Package and a Guest Designer spot at Cookin' Up Creations!!!

Here is my contribution to this month and its special meaning:

All pink baby! (ok, there is a bit of red thrown in there too.) This is using Pink Persimmons Wise Old Owl set.

Also, mark your calendars for a very special day of chatting with Darcy McNairy, one of the amazing owners of Pink Persimmon Stamps. That chat is scheduled for Friday Oct. 23rd at 9pm EST. You can check it all out at Cookin' Up Creations blog.

Mac Mae October Card Kit--Is HERE!!

Can I be the first one to tell you how wonderful and AMAZING this card kit is?? Ok, thank you... its WONDERFUL and AMAZING!! I couldn't stop digging through it and playing with it. It's available to you for an amazing price so get on over to Pam's blog Mac Mae Kits  and order your own. Here is just a little taste of the cards I made with this kit. I hope to show them all off in these days leading to Halloween:

Now you have to know that there are items in here to make Halloween cards/tags/gifts but also you can get things that are for any other occasion. (take today's card for example)

This was made with some SEI pattern papers and some polka dot embossed cardstock from the kit. I used my Nestabilities to make the circles. The adhesive gems also come in the kit. This was super easy to put together. Everything matches so well and I tell you there was enough to make GOBS of stuff.

That's all for today. Small and easy. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for 365 Cards Sketchy Sunday. Hope your Saturday ROCKS!!

Welp, its Friday. Can you believe it? Today I am using up the rest of my Torendi Kit for the 365 Card Challenge. The rules: A semi-circle must be the main focal point on your card.

CPS-137: A Scandinavian Christmas

Hey! Today's card is based off the sketch from CPS. CPS 137 to be exact. (and you know how I like to be exact, don't you ; )
I am feeling the Christmas itch people! I have this Pink Persimmon set of deer silhouettes. I couldn't stop thinking of my 'deer' Christmas friend, Rudolph. So I made him a card:
The deer silhouette comes from one set. The outline is another set and the sentiment is yet another set! You can find them all HERE. Go ahead. Pick yourself up one or more, I'll wait..... They certainly are fun!

I double cut my scallop circle so I could overlap them and make a fancy circle medallion thing-y. (the official kristie term...) I thought the tree image in the silhouette set reminded me of some of the Scandinavian fabrics and designs you can find at Ikea. I think I even have some Christmas decorations from last year that reminded me of it, which is why I chose the color combo and design for this one. PLUS my DH's family line is Scandinavian (waaaaay back) so I thought it only appropriate. Am I crazy or does it look Scandinavian to you too? Ok, maybe I'm crazy ; )

How is your week turning out?? DH left town again today for the weekend. Sheesh, I hope I can get a lot done. Last time he was gone I really had high hopes and definitely under performed. I hope to do better this time. I have some new stamp sets to use (oh, you can't wait... trust me!) and some submissions and of course challenges to keep me busy! I hope you have a glorious Thursday! I think I have cinnamon roll in my near future and I wish at LEAST that much for you too today. Thanks for visiting!

365 Cards: Torendi Week!

Good Morning to ya! Another fun day here at 365 Cards with Torendi week in full swing. Today's challenge is to use two patterned papers with the same pattern, but that are different colors. My papers come from this months Torendi Kit with Cosmo Cricket papers:

I also used some vinyl rub-ons that come in the kit. The tree, bird and border line all in a butter cream color. They are really fun. I have a few more that will be used later this week! The fun thing about these rub-ons is that they are more like stickers. They are applied like a rub on but with out any rubbing, if that makes any sense! The cardstock base is from American crafts (also in the kit) and the sentiment is a stamp from my stash.

That is all it takes today ladies. So break out that pattern paper. I know you have it tucked away safe. If you are anything like me, you get to your LSS and you can't decide between all the great colors so you get one of each! Can't wait to see your creations today. I am still coming down with something (I wish it would hurry already!) but I hope to have some time and energy to take a trip through Mr. Linky and leave you all some love.
Thanks for playing today!

Pink Persimmon Fabric Card

How was your holiday yesterday? (uh, you U.S. peeps?!) We went on a little pumpkin picking rampage and got some apples too. We came home and made caramel for our apples and colored our pumpkins and got them set on the porch. Unfortunately I feel I am coming down with something. That can never be good. I hope if it is coming it comes and goes fast! But until then, here is a little something to look at for today:
It's all fabric background with my little Pink Persimmon girl and her wagon 'o books. Doesn't that look fun!? I would love to sit with a wagon of books and read the day away! I coloredwith pencils, but paper pieced her dress. A lot of you out there said you loved this set, so I thought I would play around with it! It is quite fun I must say ; )

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my 365 Cards Challenge and check out more of the Torendi goodies you can get in their October Kit.

See ya then!

365 Cards Sketchy Sunday: Torendi Week!

Here is today's sketch at 365 Cards:

We were blessed enough to have another GREAT sponsor this week. TORENDI!
It's a fun kit club and we received some goods in the mail to use this week. Here is my take on the sketch using some of the kit:

Of course there is some really great AC cardstock for the card base. Some Cosmo Cricket and these really great Vinyl Rub-ons. I added the ribbon and adhesive gems from my own stash.
This kit is very fun to play with and you will be seeing a lot of it this week!

Thanks for taking time out of your Sunday. Happy day to you!

Apple Thank You

Ugh, can you tell I am behind? It's all my hubbys fault!!! (how many times have you hear me say that one??) Actually it has been a glorious week. After 10 days of no hubby, he has be taking it easy and hanging around the house, taking half days and playing with the kids. It's so nice to have him home. SO NICE!

The flip side.... not as much crafting time. But, you just wait, I have a few things to share with you later in the month. I have been working on kits and submissions and can't wait to share them. Until then, here is a little ditty I cooked up last week:

A new friend at church went on an apple picking trip and shared the fruits of her labors with me! I thought I would make her up a thank you card. I am going to take her some fresh bread and pepper jelly too. You just can't send back a basket empty now can you? I love making new friends!

This is a little of a wild card for me. Lots of pattern and bold color. Not my best effort, but its a card nonetheless.

And that has to be all for me tonight. Have some photos to edit and kids to put to bed, so I must be going. Thanks for stopping by. You have all left me such sweet comments this week. I appreciate you! Love to you and yours.

365 Cards: Imagine This- Denim!

Ok, this challenge was a good time, I must say. Denim... how can you not like it?? I thought this was the perfect challenge for a pocket gift card holder:

I used some Shimmer Night Sky paper (PTI). The shimmer really gives it some faux texture which is something I wanted. I thought it would help with the 'denim' feel. I started by cutting my CS in half length wise at 4 1/4. Then I folded it at 5 1/2, just like a regular card would be. (with the crease on the top). Once you have this done, flip the card so the crease is on the bottom and it opens at the top. I then scored the front flap at 1 1/4  and then cut the point out.

Once I cut out my pocket I sewed it up with orange thread. You need to sew the front part of the pocket first before sewing it to the back or you will sew the entire thing shut! (ask me how I know). I used some eyelets and made myself a denim label for my sentiment by stamping on ribbon. I cut the back flap shorter (1" or less) so the size didn't compete visually with the front flap and then rounded the corners.

I even found this gift card in my wallet! Too bad I am not 21, OR shaped anything like a 21 yr. old. There is no way this big belly will be fitting into anything sold in that store. Or even the front door, if you know what I mean. I wonder how I even got it! Maybe I can pick myself up some nice accessories...

Anyhoo, that's all for now! I can't wait to see where this challenge takes you.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You

Hello Monday! I got a really late start today since DH is coming home finally and I have been busy cleaning and getting ready for him to walk in the door. Crazy how much I  let things get out of hand with him gone (in my defense, it was a loong time! But its good to clean, the air is fresh outside and there is a nice breeze coming through the house. Here is my card for this glorious (dare I say perfect ?!) monday.
I hand stamped the background paper using Pure Poppy, Tangerine and White. Popped up the white flower and the "thinking of you" tag and of course added more ruffled ribbon.

It's a really simple card and went together fast. I think what makes it so fun is the color combo. Nice and fiery!  Ok. I am off to do more cleaning. I must keep moving or I get sleepy and I need to pick up a little boy from the bus soon, so falling asleep would be BAD!  I actually was a bit late the other day and you should have seen the panic and fear on his face when I finally got to him. I will never do that again! OH the guilt I felt!

Have a wonderful monday and thanks for stopping by!

365 Cards: Sketchy Sunday!!

Another fabulous Sunday and it is officially October, the fallish-y month of the year! Here is our sketch for today, I hope you can play along!:
Here is my take:
I guess you could say I flipped it and turned it. It's all scatty-wompus (is that still a real word? was it ever?)  I used some K&Co Halloween papers that I got last year. Just trying to use them up! Love those fuzzy spiders (yes they are fuzzy!)  I used the sewing machine again and love the spider web feel it gives. I am still loving these Spellbinders tags. I think I always will!!

Ok, I hope you got some card making in this weekend, especially since we had an entire day given to celebrate! I can't wait to see your take on this weeks sketch. It really is a fun one!

PTI WCMD Challenge #4: Australia

Final Challenge! Technically it's not WCMD where I live, but I knew if I didn't finish these challenges, I might not get to them once the weekend was up. Here is my final card. I incorporated dot outlines for mine:

I decided to out line the flourishes because it reminded me of doodling in high school. This is what I would do a lot! I used four colors for the dots. Red, Rust, Orange and Yellow (all SU!). Added one flower and felt it was done. It might be a bit too dotty, if you know what I mean. But all in all I LOVE this technique.

Thanks to Nicole and the PTI gang for the fun challenges! It was great to be given such broad challenges creatively. I had a great time! Nighty Night to you all.

PTI WCMD Challenge #3: India

Third Challenge, India!! Incorporate rhinestones, sequins and jewels in your card.
Well, I went simple on this one, which might not be very "India" of me. But I do like it nonetheless and I hate to say that it looks better in person than in this photo. But don't be disappointed ok!

Card for Challenge #3:
I used some Gold Glimmer Mist all over this card to give it a nice shine. I added some jewelry beads to it as well. I like the Background Basics: Retro stamp because it added a little "henna" feel to it.  I glued down all those beads in the shape of the stamp and added a sentiment.
Very simple. What do you think???

Ok, so anyone else out there up for the challenges?? I hope so. Can't wait to go browsing around all the creations. These are some really fun challenges. Makes you realize how much you can find if you are willing to go out of your own backyard!

PTI WCMD Challenge #2: Mexico

This challenge is to create a card inspired by anything Mexico (uh, except the velvet paintings of Elvis... please!)  Here is my card for challenge #2:
Inspired by all those crazy colors you can find there. Mexico has got to be one of my favorite places on this planet. Thats a little tid-bit you may not know about me. I love it there. The ocean, scuba diving, the food, the siestas and lets not forget the soda! There is extra sugar in those glass jars my friends, and it is SOOOO good!

Ok. Onto this card. I used guidelines (uh, it was Nicole's idea) and added some Background Basics: Retro lines to go around the tiles. A little trim cut with some decor scissors, a simple sentiment and a fun button/ribbon combo. OH! and lets not forget a rhinestone people. There is some bling in Mexico. You just have to know where to look ; )

Thanks for stopping by. One more challenge card left and then I'm going to eat ice cream!

PTI WCMD Challenge #1: Japan

Woah. Did you get that title?? This is a Papertrey Ink challenge they are doing for World Card Making Day. The first challenge is to make a card inspired by either the colors, design or themes that are prominent in Japanese Culture.
Here is my card:
I wanted a simple and clean layout. I chose the flowers/branch combo. It seemed Zen-like to me. It reminds me of the delicate flowers they have. I used red (a japanese color... to me) and a simple sentiment. I was hoping I had a nice Japanese style poem in my stash, but I don't. But I thought this went well enough.

This is challenge number 1. stay tuned for the other two. And what's at stake you ask?? Only a boat load of PTI goodies. So go on. Check it out and take the challenge!
Thanks for stopping by. WCMD isn't over yet, many more crafting moments left!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17

Here are the colors for this weeks challenge over at Dawn's:
I have noticed this color combo has been around a lot and I seem to use it a lot too. It's just too perfect to pass up so I whipped up a card:
Usually Dawn has lots of colors you need to use so I have always used up at least one with the card base. I decided NO to that one this time. So cream card base, stamped with some aqua. Pure Poppy heart stamped on Kraft and some red stitching. Some Chocolate ink and a button to round it all up. Basically I only used a little bit of each color. But I am liking the simplicity of it. It feels nice to me.

That's all for today. It's World Card Making Day tomorrow. Are you going to celebrate?? I sure am. Be sure to stop by for a card!

Thanks for stopping by!

CPS #135

Happy first day of October!! Oh how much fun is it to see the leaves changing and feel the cool crisp air. Makes me want to run outside and take a deeeeep breath! And how much fun is it to actually get some challenge cards done during a week!??! SO fun. Here is the sketch for CPS this week:
Here is my take:
I squared it up. Used some fallish papers and added the tag. I also sponged the heck out of the papers and added some twine. I was actually surprised it turned out better than I thought it would. LOVE that!

Today is the first day where I don't have much on my daily agenda. Aaaahhh, that feels good right? Hopefully I will get some crafting done and regular life might get taken care of. (Bring on the laundry!) We have been going non stop all week, so I think the kids will like some down time, as will I. Hope you have a great day!!

Thanks for stopping by!
