Happy Thursday!! Today's card is the one I made for yesterday's challenge before I really read the rules! And of course in all the frantic mess of the week I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card. Here is the outside:
I used some Cosmo Cricket love for my paper piercing. I tried to pop up the umbrella on a smaller 2x2 piece to give it a bit more emphasis. The inside of the card reads "In Every Life a little rain must fall." Its a perfect sentiment for who this card is intended for. My brother who was just married two months ago has come down with Mono. He is still trying to go to school but he is really out of it. He is so sick and his dear new bride has just started her student teaching at a high school. So she is doing new and hard things and is super busy and comes home to a sick husband. Things crazy for them both and I can only imagine how challenging it must be for them right now. I thought I would send them a little pick me up to let them know that this doesn't last forever and that being married really is a fun time!! I hope they get over this little hump soon. They are both so wonderful and dear to me. I love them!!
Anyway. I just wanted to remind you to enter into the drawing for a free

What a wonderful card - and what a nice way to say you care about your brother and his wife. Love the colours - and that umbrella is fabulous! :D
ReplyDeleteKristie- I seriously am so impressed every time I see your blog- everything you do is so darn cute. It's gonna start getting really difficult when that baby bump gets in the way! :)
