Happy Wednesday everyone! Todays challenge is all about checkerboard. You are to use it for your background. Well I decided to make a weave pattern for mine. I picked out some double sided pattern paper by Scenic Route. Something that was fun and dramatically different on each side. I cut my card to standard size and then cut the strips shorter by 1/4". Then wove them together. This is the checkerboard that came out:
I added a sentiment and some trim and called it done! What do you think? I hope you can tell what is happening on it. The photos is less than stellar.
Anyway. Today has already started with a bang and I am late with my post, but I did get it up which makes me happy! I hope you have a good day and feel inspired!!

I love the buttons and twine! I find that woven checkerboard deigns manke me want to reach out and touch the paper ;) With the twine and buttons, it's even cuuuuter!! Great card.

ReplyDeleteI love this card! I have some great paper that I don't know what to do with, and now I know! I'm going to omit the buttons and stitch it with sewing machine. . I wonder if I will get the same effect. . . I digress! I love the card!
