365 Cards: Simply Stamped

Ok people... better late than never! I finally got to do today's challenge which is hard only in that it's difficult to tell when a card is "boring" or not when you are used to putting a lot on a card. Well, this challenge I decided to use some embossing powder and one stamp in white. here it is:

This is for my soon to be sister-in-law who's bridal shower is this weekend. This will be accompanying a set of thank you cards. Her bridal colors are purple and sage. I decided the white would pop more on the dark purple. Now two things I learned with this card. 1. I need to practice my embossing skills. I have powder all over some of which you can still see floating on this card. And there really are certain kinds of ink that don't do as well with embossing powder. This Brilliance White is one of them. 2. Is that this purple paper changes color when it's heated. I am sure there are a lot of colors that do (especially these dark tones) but it definitely left a lighter maroon colored halo around the stamped image. It actually isn't too bad, kind of gives the card more interest.
Ok. I must run. There is a boy yelling for me from the bathtub. Have a great night!

  4. This is simple but elegant Kristie. I love it and I cannot see a lighter halo so it doesn't show on the computer.
