365 Cards: Card Recipe #3

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is to use this card recipe:

Solid Background
2 Patterned Papers
Stamped Sentiment
3 Jewels

I was putting together some card sets for Ronin's school teachers and thought I would use this recipe to make up a set. I made up 5 for the set:
I had a hard time getting a good photo of all of them, so (lucky you) I posted them all individually! I wanted them to be modern and simple. I chose to sewing as my 'adhesive' of choice:
You can see. Simple. 2 patterned scraps. I think this recipe is a GREAT way to whittle down your scrap stash. I did 5 cards and still only used a little bit of paper.
I used two different styles of sentiments because I just couldn't decide which I liked best.
I also busted out the zigzag stitch which makes this SO fun!
I used two different colors of gems. Blue and green. Depending on how they looked with the paper.
This last one I tried to curl up the edges a bit to make a little flag. What a simple and fun way to make a card set! They all match, used up some scraps and fit the card recipe. I am pretty sure they will make someone smile too.

Glad you visited today. Thanks for all your sweet comments and for stopping by!
