It's In The Bag: Challenge

As you may have noticed, I am completely obsessed with Papertrey Ink. Well, this next week is their 2 year anniversary and they are having loads of giveaways, challenges and fun sneak peeks until their release on Feb. 15th. Today they are having a challenge on their blog. Create, alter or decorate a bag and post it in their gallery or on your blog and be entered to win your own embroidered Papertrey tote AND a 100$ Gift Certificate! So of course I had to participate. Here is my entry:

I've had this little blue bag just sitting around for quite some time just waiting to be used. I pulled out my Quilters Sampler Addition set and Bitty Baby Blessing set for the sentiment.  I stamped the tissue paper with Polka Dot Basics to give it a little oomph....

Now a little tip on this stamping-tissue-paper thing. It takes a lot of time to line up polka dots over and over to stamp the entire sheet. So next time you want the look without a lot of work, just stamp a 4-5 inch border along the top. You get the effect from the outside and its still striking with only a border on the paper, not even looking like you were being lazy!

Here is a close up of my little quilt and boy. I love this set and really love the boldness of the white, red and blue. Hope you enjoy it! Take a chance to see the other entries and even make one yourself!

Thanks for stopping by!
